Ethan

Suddenly, my little baby is so grown up. He'll be FIVE in August. The sweet, little boy who used to stay right by my side now runs off at any opportunity to climb on anything. The other day at the store I parked next to the thing that holds the carts and before we could move he had to climb on it and show me some tricks. We went to get ice cream with some friends last week and they were playing afterwards. As we went to leave, Ethan hollers out to one of the big kids on the playground, "Bye Ethan!!," and gives a boy a big wave and smile. Apparently, they had talked and learned that they have the same name. Yesterday at an indoor play land (a balmy 50 outside yesterday) he ran off while Katrina was eating and he started talking to lots of different kids. He never would have done this a year ago. Although I miss that little baby, this Ethan is so funny and is keeping me on my toes on his endless pursuit to keep up with Katrina.

Oh gosh, I remember that feeling. Charlie was my little errand guy. We went everywhere together. He would sit on my lap all the time. And then . . . he didn't.

those boys are handsome too; they grow up and become independent so fast; enjoy them every day;
